My Mom's Facial Care

My mom is acting weird today! I noticed her earlier facing the mirror while applying some of her facial cream. Well, I know that it is quite normal for a woman to apply some facial care products on their faces but I noticed her getting more and more frustrated everyday so I dare to ask her. She told me that she began to notice her sagging skin despite of applying facial cream and anti-aging skin care products onto her face in a regular basis. She knows that she’s not getting any younger and sagging of skin is quite normal for her age but that is what facial skin care products are for! They should make this sagging skin less visible. I told her maybe the product is not that effective for her and try to search some best day creams online or she can consult a dermatologist to help her out on what facial product she should use.

Kris Allen Live in Manila

American Idol Season 8 winner, Kris Allen is set to hit the Philippines’ stage this coming February 5. This event was brought to us by Fearless productions (which is the same production company that brought David Cook and David Archuleta last year). Together with Kris Allen is the champion of Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew Jabbawockeez and the Youtube acoustic sensantion and my all time favorite band “Boyce Avenue” will be joining the crew too! Kris Allen will be in Cebu in February 5 and will hit Manila in February 6 at McKinley Hills Concert Grounds, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.

There are Tweeter rumors that American Idol Season 8 runner up, Adam Lambert will also be a part of this concert. Hope this is true. But anyways, i guess i will fail to watch them live. First, i don’t know where the hell Mckinley Concert ground is (hehe) and the second, my budget is not that fit to buy the ticket. The VIP ticket is worth more or less 10,000 while general admission is P600 or something. Haha i hope Kris Allen will have some tv guesting just like what happen to the two Davids last year. So if there’s anyone who care to treat me and willing to pay 10,000 for the ticket, that would be great haha!

Diamonds are Forever

“Diamonds are forever”. I guess you are all familiar with this phrase and I am not talking about Shirley Basey’s hit single here. If there’s one thing that women are addicted to other than shoes and bags, that would be jewelries especially those which are made out of diamonds. That is why most men who are planning to propose an engagement, offer diamonds as their gift. This is exactly what my Uncle George is planning this coming Valentines Day. He is planning to give a diamond ring to her longtime girlfriend as a peace offering. They got some “issues” before and he wants to fix it by offering a gift. I told him buying diamonds would be very risky especially if you don’t know how to determine if the diamond is fake or not. I advised him to look for a very reliable online jewelry shop and search certified diamonds online. This will ensure him to buy nothing but original and high class diamonds. Her girlfriend would be very happy about this and I’m wishing the best for both of them.

Percy Jackson & Olympians : The Lightning Thief

Since we are in major movie trends in 2010, there’s an iminent pop cultural tug-of-war between Vampires and Angels. Major production companies seem to be taking advantage of the lull by dusting off this cinematic chesnut and churning out a string of epics based on Greek and Norse mythology.

For the youngsters, there’s “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”. The film was directed by Chris Columbus. It is an action-adventure film features a young boy who discovers that he is the demigod son of  Poseidon (The greek God of the Sea). He then embrakson a journey with his other partly divine plans to save his mom, return Zeus’ stolen lightning Volt, and try to stop a war of ancient proportions.

The film is set to hit the Philippine cinemas on February 12, the film features Rosario Dawson as Perdephone, Uma Thurman as Medusa, Pierce Brosnan as Chiron, and Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson! But for those who do not want PG rated fare, you can look forward to Class of the Titans, a remake of a 1981 film.

Let's Play Air Hockey!

We usually go to malls if I want to hang out with some of my friends. We play arcade games (so childish), having some “videoke” session, and playing our favorite Air Hockey. For those who are not familiar with Air Hockey, it is a game played by 2 players where each of them will try to score a point by opposing other player’s goal.

can strike the pucks using the Air Hockey mallets. I really love this game and it is so addicting. If only I could have these game tables in our house and if only we have enough space to be occupied by these game tables, I can just invite my friends to come to our house instead of spending our money in going to some shopping malls. Actually, there’s a site like PremiereGameTables.com that offers this kind of tables like Air Hockey, Foosball, Backgammon, Ping Pong tables and more in a very affordable and convenient price. I guess I have to convince my mom to buy us one.

Pants on the Ground

Two years ago, we got crazy over Renaldo Lapuz funny song composition of the song “We’re Brothers Forever”. It is unexpected but he really gain so much attention after his audition. Lapuz is a Filipino that’s why i’m very proud of him especially when he made a grand finale performance for American Idol Season 7. Lapuz’s American Idol Season 7 audition piece was a favorite on video sites, with more than 68.2 million hits in the video sharing website YouTube, the first of which being so popular that it generated a cease and desist letter from News Corp. Subsequent releases have received more than 59,640,100 hits. His audition piece has become so popular that about five of his now famous video clips have landed in the top 10 most favorite for the week, totaling to about 39,056,000 favorites as of posting time. He even made a commercial with At&T

Hair Care for Summer

Summer is about to start… Are you ready? Are you done preparing your summer fashion wears? Or how about your summer destination this year? It may be the season of sun and fun but all that frolicking in the beach and pool can leave your hair dry, frizzy and brittle. I really had a bad esperience with my hair last summer and i don’t want that to happen again this year.

I just read a magazine yesterday discussing three major causes of hair damages. According to that magazine, the 3 main causes of hair damages are humidity, over exposure to the sun, and due to the chlorinated or salt water.

Exposing hair into a hot and humid environment will cause your hair to get dry and frizzy while sun’s ultra violet rays also produce changes in the melatonin of our hair. Prolonged exposure can lighten the hair and in the case of the artificial hair color, it can alter the color to an undesired shade.

in the other hand, we should also watch out for chlorine and slat water too! They not only make your hair dry but also give your hair a greenish cast, spoiling your carefully colored or highlighted coif.

Cebu Dancing Inmates

Here’s a video taken from Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) and thay are popularly known “internationally” as the “Dancing Inmates. They are very notable with their dance interpretation of Michael Jackson’s imortalized hit “Thriller”. No wonder why MJ’s longtime choreographer Travis Payne pay to visit the prison to ance along with the inmates. They dance and choreo one of MJ’s hit song “They Don’t Care About Us.”

The choreography is really amaziung and it will make you really proud to be pinoy. Despite of being prisoners, no matter if thy are murderers or rapist and rather than participating in some riots or rumbles inside the prison, they are spending or using their energy in a productive, creative, useful and entertaining way!
