It is pretty undeniable that our very own Filipino “Flash” Nonito Donaire is probably the next Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines after successfully depending his title as “World Super Flyweight Champion. He was born in Talibon, Bohol, raised in General Santos City in the Philippines, and moved to the United States at the age of ten. I guess there are lot of great fighters in the area of Mindanao knowing that Manny is also from General Santos City. Currentl Nonito is the WBA interim World Super Flyweight champion, and is rated by The Ring as the number 6 pound-for-pound best boxer in the world. Last February 13, Nonito Donaire succesfully depend his title against the boxer Manuel “Chango” Vargas. With these numerous achievements, no doubt, Nonito Donaire is our next Pinoy Champ! Proud to be Pinoy!

Our very own Amanda Evora placed 10th in the 2010 Winter Olympics at Vancouver, Canada together with his partner Mark Ladwig. Evora and Ludwig were chosen to represent the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics where they earn silver medals. Although Filipino-American Amanda Evora and her partner Mark Ladwig were on top of the standings early in the short course and free skate programs in the Winter Olympics figure skating competition at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada and eventually finished in tenth place, they delivered an impressive performance but fell way behind the medal winners. Evora was born in New York, New York. Her family moved to Houston in 1995. Before that, they had lived in Bahrain, Dallas, and Virginia. She is Filipino-American. Both Evora and Ladwig show amazing heart and soul beyond the technical skills.
We only have one sleep away for the much anticipated and much awaited event of the year~ The Super bowl 2010 or the Super Bowl 44. The Super Bowl 2010 is considered as the most popular Super Bowl today since the two number 1 teams in AFC and NFC are being feature in the championship match. One of the the main event would be the battle between Indianapolis Colts vs New Orleans Saints. The Colts quarterback, Peyton Manning is known for his passing ability as he always reached the 4,000 yards mark. Carrie Underwood will sing the National Anthem at the beginning of the game. Gonna watch this out!
