From  a blasting week, Glee went back to  another “so so” episode and is considered as one of the lowest rating Glee had ever received despite of the fact that The Glee Project Winner, Damian McGinty had his first appearance on the show. As a  matter of fact, the story centers around Damian and his role as Rory Flanagan,an Irish exchange student and is  being bullied in School. He used to wear Green clothes and pretend that he’s the Leprechaun to  Brittany who really believes  in him.

Rory has a crush on Brittany, goes along with this as she has promised to let him into her “pot o’ gold” if he grants her three wishes. Her first is for an all-marshmallow box of Lucky Charms, which is easily accomplished, and her second is for her cat, Lord Tubbington, to “poop candybars,” which is easily faked.

Rory had his  first  solo and also the first song of the episode when  he sing “Bien Green” which is a song usually performed in Sesame Street by Kermit the frog.

Meanwhile,  Quinn and Puck offered to baby sit Beth for Shelby.  They tried to sabotage Shelby by placing things that will make Shelby look like an unfit mother. Puck later makes an excuse to return and gather up the items. Puck sang “Waiting For A Girl Like You” by the Foreigner.

Sue Sylvester found her newest rivalry in the nature of Burt Hummel who will also run in Congress to oppose Sue.

Mercedes was able to convinced Santana and Brittany to leave New Directions and Join Shelby’s all girl group. The girls performed a lovely rendition of “Candyman” by Christina Aguilera.

Rory claimed to Brittany that he has fulfilled her third wish, but she chastises him, saying that Finn’s feelings clearly were hurt by the defection and that she now knows leprechauns are not real. Later, when Rory is being harassed by bullies, Finn comes to his rescue and invites him to join New Directions, where he auditions with the song “Take Care of Yourself”.

Surprisingly,at the end of the show, Puck and Shelby are shown kissing.

What? Haley Reinhart is out? It Can’t be! I am not a big Haley fan but judging the three remaining Idols especially their last performances last Thursday , only Haley shows versatility. Okay! Scotty and Lauren are both awesome but they can’t sing anything other than country! Can they sing Jazz, blues, pop, and the Zappelin Song? Maybe they can but they can’t sing better than what Haley did last performance night! But then again, it is too late to regret it and we can do nothing about it. Let’s just accept the fact that Lauren and Scotty has a huge fan base and their fans will surely fight for their Idols. Well, it seems that we are going to have a Country Finale huh? Who’s better? Scotty or Lauren? Personally, i’ll go for Scotty. He’s awesome and i can tell know that he can really sing well after his last performance on Idol! Though we cannot underestimate Lauren too. I am so excited for the upcoming Finale and I am so excited to see the Top 12 Idols to perform again on stage. Cool!

That was a very shocking elimination last Thursday night. Pia Toscano’s elimination on the show is really unpredictable. Who would have thought that after giving a stand out performance of her version of Tina Turner’s River Deep Mountain High, and after following Judges request to sing an uptempo song, Pia will get the least number of votes last elimination Night. Pia’s Elimination garnered a lot of controversies too. They said that most voters are female who are rooting for a male American Idol Winner. They also said that this is just a part of the show’s strategy to increase their ratings. They said that there is a possibility that the votes are being fixed or whatsoever.

Well it proves only one thing, Judges made the wrong decision of saving Casey Abrams. They are so confident that Pia will never be in the Bottom 3 and can make it to the Finals but the elimination night last Thursday Proved them wrong. There is no way for them to save Pia on the competition. Do you find the show exciting still? I’m pretty sure that it’s gonna be another male American Idol Winner. Only 2 females left on the show namely Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart. Boys are still complete and non of them were eliminated so far (except for Casey who was saved by the judges). Well maybe the show will offer more shocking results in the near future.

This week, i will be featuring Carpenters for my Music Monday. I really love listening to old school especially songs from the 70′s. Karen Carpenters is one of my most favorite female singer. She really has an amazing voice and one of my favorite song from this group would be this one.

I was born when Janet Jackson was in the lime light of the music scene. I was in elementary when everyone gets crazy over her. I was too young to appreciate her music at that time. I started to love her songs when i reached college, however, it’s a bit late for me because she started to lose the limelight at that time.

I find Janet Jackson not a strong and powerful vocalist compare to other solo artists like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey but her songs and her performances are truly amazing.

She is one of those great dance-oriented singers along with the former American Idol Judge Paula Abdul, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez. She is also know for giving great concert performances.

And now that she will be heading to Manila this February, I’m sure most of her fans will come over to see her performing live. The concert is a part of her Number Ones—Up Close and Personal World Tour. It will be held at PICC Plenary Hall, CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. I have heard that she will be touring over 30 countries.

Some of her hits are What Have You Done for Me Lately, Nasty, When I Think of You, Control, Miss You Much, All For You, and more.

This is one of Dolly Parton’s most inspirational Song. She told her story when she was a child when her mam sew a rag and made it as her dress.

Manila seems to be one of the hottest concert ground in Asia and just recently it is announced that this coming October 23 the multi Grammy awarded Song writer, musician, producer, David Foster will be having a concert here in Manila together with a star studded singers including Peter Cetera who is well known as the former member of Chicago and with his hit song “Glory of Love”; Nathalie Cole and her hit “Miss You Like Crazy”; American Idol Season 2 Winner Ruben Studdard; The Canadian Tenors and of course our very own Charice Pempengco. This is a once in a life time event and should not be missed. However, as i was looking for the ticket price yesterday, i found out that the ticket ranges up to 16,000 pesos. Yikes… maybe next time LOL.

My Music Monday Entry for this week is from the band Matchbox Twenty with their greatest hit, Unwell. The song is about people who claim to not be crazy even though they’re suffering from various occurrences that could lead them to be labeled as such. I also love the ,music video.

Who among us can forget the songs “The Impossible Dream” ; “What I Did For Love” ; “Wives And Lovers” and “Strangers In The Night”? These are timeless hits that we commonly sang in videoke bars. These hits are from the American Jazz singer, Jack Jones. He was one of the most popular vocalists of the 1960s. And he will now spread the magic of his great voice on his “Jack Jones’ Greatest Hits Tour this coming October 16 at the Araneta Coliseum. This event is in celebration of his 52nd year in show business. My dad is a big fan of this guy and we actually have some old cassette tapes of his hits. Well, i grew up as old school music lover and Jack Jones is one of my favorite jazz singer. I’m sure most of his loyal fans here in the country will grab the opportunity to meet him live at the Areneta.
