Have you heard about the PotterMore website released by JK Rowling? It is circulating now on the web now so i guess most of you are aware of the site. I’m not sure what’s going on but i bet JK Rowling is planning to release something great after her very successful Novel. I’m actually excited for the upcoming Harry Potter film and I just watched the latest trailer of the film. I have read the last book and I know what’s gonna happen but it is nice to see the film adaptation right?

Anyway, back the Pottermore.com site, there’s nothing really special on the site. You can see owls sitting on 2 separate branches and there’s the “Coming Soon” message on the middle (with JK Rownling name and signature below). You can’t navigate the site and there’s nothing to be clicked except for the owls that will take you to a Youtube channel. The video shows a countdown before the much awaited announcement from JK Rowling. According to Yahoo News, there is nothing to deal with the upcoming Film. So what do you think? Another book? A prequel or some untold stories? How bout a Harry Potter game? An online shop showcasing Harry Potter’s exclusive memorabilia? We will about to find out. There are five more days left before the announcement! Cheers

Jericho Rosales’ first ever international Film entitled “Subject: I Love You”. Is it hot or not? Of course that’s Hot! We must be very proud of this knowing that another guy from the Philippines is making his way to the international movie scenes. Subject: I Love You, is a film based on a true story. As you recall, May 2000, a virus successfully attacked tens of millions of Windows computers in 2000 when it was sent as an attachment to an email message with the text “ILOVEYOU” in the subject line. The worm originated in the Philippines on 4 May 2000 and spread across the world in one day, moving on to Hong Kong and then to Europe and the US, causing an estimated $5.5 billion in damage. By 13 May 2000, 50 million infections had been reported. Most of the damage cited was the time and effort spent getting rid of the worm. I don’t know if this will make me proud or what but this one surely gives me goosebumps.

Anyway, the film Subject: I Love You will be top billed by our very own Jericho Rosales together with other foreign actors including “Step Up 2′s” Briana Evigan. Dean Cain of “Lois and Clark,” Dante Basco of “Hook,” Kristin Bauer of “True Blood”, Joel Torre, Gary Valenciano and Black Eyed Peas singer Apl De Ap. I have heard that this film was two years in the making.

I’m really excited about this film. Will this be the stepping stone for Jericho’s international career?

If you are brave enough to watch zombie movies, well i guess you will definitely watch the upcoming movie “Resident Evil : Afterlife”. The movie is scheduled to have it’s premiere tomorrow , September 10. I am a big fan of Resident Evil Game series and i never missed any of its movie adaptation. Although  the film and the game storyline, somehow, conflicting to each other, i still love it. Some of the characters that will be showing up with this upcoming 3D film is Alice (Milla Jovovich), Claire Redfield (played by Ali Larter) and Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller). This will also be the first time that Alice’s  arch-nemesis, Albert Wesker will be showing up in this series. So meaning to say, there will be no Leon Kennedy in this film. Well, i think it is because it will make the film quite confusing knowing that they have mentioned on Resident Evil: Apocalypse that Leon Kennedy had been killed already. But according to Anderson, director of  RE film series,  if the film is a success, he will do the fifth film and would like Leon Kennedy to make an appearance. I am so excited about this film.

If you enjoyed Camp Rock last 2008, then you will definitely enjoy its sequel which is now showing at all cinema theaters here in the Philippines.  Camp Rock is top billed by Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam will be having the same cast. Mitchie Flores (played by Demi Lovato) will be returning to Camp Rock and reunited with her friends. But of course, i don’t want to spoil the movie so you should watch it on your own risk. But what really makes me watch Camp Rock movies? Well not just because i am a big Jonas Brother’s fan but also to watch our very own Anna Maria Perez de Taglé.  Anna is a Filipina-American Actress who will be playing the character of Ella Pador. Aside from being Ella Pador in Camp Rock movies, she is also known for her character as Ashley Dewitt in  Hannah Montana and Joy Moy in the remake of Fame. So aside from Charice, we have another star to look forward to.

If you still need more reasons to get all jazzed for the future, then grid your loins for “Thor.” A film based on the classic Marvel Comics supehero, which in tun was inspired by the Norse God of Thunder, the film will star Ausie actor Chris Hemsworth with Kenneth Branagh as director.

Chuck’s Zaxhary Levi was supposed to be a part of the film, tellin Zap2It he had been offered a role. According to him working with Kenneth Branagh would have been unbelievable. In addition  to that he also said that he is a man of Faith believing God will put you where he wants you and where you’re supposed to be. Since the movie is due for May 2011 release date, information on Marvel.com remains scant. Thor is a cast down to Earth and forced to live along humans as punishment. Once here, he learns what it takes to be a true hero when most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade it. Amazing! I can’t wait to watch this film.

Since we are in major movie trends in 2010, there’s an iminent pop cultural tug-of-war between Vampires and Angels. Major production companies seem to be taking advantage of the lull by dusting off this cinematic chesnut and churning out a string of epics based on Greek and Norse mythology.

For the youngsters, there’s “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”. The film was directed by Chris Columbus. It is an action-adventure film features a young boy who discovers that he is the demigod son of  Poseidon (The greek God of the Sea). He then embrakson a journey with his other partly divine plans to save his mom, return Zeus’ stolen lightning Volt, and try to stop a war of ancient proportions.

The film is set to hit the Philippine cinemas on February 12, the film features Rosario Dawson as Perdephone, Uma Thurman as Medusa, Pierce Brosnan as Chiron, and Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson! But for those who do not want PG rated fare, you can look forward to Class of the Titans, a remake of a 1981 film.
