Finally, Celebrities who will battle out for the next Survivor Title was officially revealed.The reality show will be named as Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown and  is the fourth season of the said  franchise here in the Philippines. This season has a very unique approach compared to the previous seasons, As what the subtitle suggests celebrities were grouped or paired as couples with preexisting relationships. Richard Gutierrez will be reprising his role as the main host of the game and the grand prize is still 3 million pesos .The show was entirely shot in San Vicente, Palawan. and this will be the first time for the franchise that the show was filmed entirely within the host country. Here are the 10 pairs of castaways;

I am pretty excited for this upcoming season and I’m sure, it would be a bigger blast than last season.

I’m sure most of you are aware now about the massive fish kill recently happened in Batanggas right? Well, we ca do nothing about that as of this moment knowing that the massive killing is caused by the sudden climate change. Let the government do their jobs to clear this issues. But then we can’t deny the fact that there are some people who are taking advantage of this situation. They still sell this double dead fishes over the market. The worst, they are distributing this over the country. And so we have to be aware. As a shopper, you should know how to determine whether a fish is double dead or not.

You should doubt when the gills are paled in color. Remember that fresh fishes usually has red gills. Don’t buy if the eyes are reddish or blur in color. The scales of double dead fish are no longer shiny. You can also determine if the fish is double dead or not by pressing it. If the flesh is soft, then it might be double dead fish. ‘

Eating double-dead fish can cause diarrhea and food poisoning so we have to be aware. As much as possible try to avoid eating fish as soon as the issue about the fish kill resolved

While i was busy shopping for toys for my nieces and nephews, i saw this huge attraction at the mall. See the couch at the center , beside the reindeers? Santa will be sitting there for the “Meet and Greet Event”

Too bad Milzon and I failed to visit the venue on the given Meet and Greet Date but i was able to take Milzon here the day after the event. Well good thing the decors are still there!

Time really run out so fast and I just can’t imagine that today is already December 3 and we only have 22 days left before the much awaited Occasion of the year. Philippines is one of the countries who is known for having the longest Christmas celebration. We started to celebrate Christmas as early as September. When “ber” months begun, that is also the time that we start preparing for Christmas. We started decorating the house by placing colorful and flickering lights outside. Since, we are in a tropical country, we do not use real pine tree for our Christmas decoration. We seldom find such tree in this country, that’s why we usually buy artificial Christmas tree as an alternative. We failed to attend the Black Friday event last week but it was just okay since we still have Cyber Monday series of events to look forward to. Cyber Monday runs for a week or two so we have enough time to prepare for it. In fact, my mom told me that she got some free voucher codes that she can use to get discounts on selected items on the web. I am not yet done completing my gift list for all of my nieces and nephews, so I guess I will need a lot of discount codes to buy them all in such a very low price. Anyway, I need to ask my mom where I can get these promotional codes in order to get cool discounts online. Well, good thing, I was able to receive my Christmas bonus last week so I can say that my budget is good enough to cover all my expenses for this month. It’s been a tradition to me to spend and save my money for this very important occasion and use it to buy gifts for my love ones. But of course, we have to remember that Christmas is not just about giving and exchanging gifts, we have to remember that we celebrate this very important day to pay tribute to the day when Jesus Christ was born. Milzon will be having his first School Camping Activity this coming December and he is very excited about it. The event is a part of the School’s 12th Boyscout  Anniversary . Well, i have been in this kind of event long long time ago and today i will be sharing a checklist of items that a camper should always have.

1. First Aid Kit. Buy a good one which includes the most necessary emergency supplies. Choose one adequate for the size of your group.
2. Rain Gear. Expect some bad weather and be prepared for it. Pack it on top of the other gear or in the outside pockets for quick and easy access.
3. Repair Kit. For temporary fix-ups on tents, packs, cooking gear, etc., include pliers, wire, needles and heavy thread, waterproof or duct-type  tape and safety pins.
4. Flashlight. Do not forget spare bulbs and fresh batteries. A second pocket size flash light for each camper is extra insurance.
5. Maps and Compass. Learn how to use them before you go or they’re just excess baggage. Include topographical maps and road map of area.
6. Extra Clothing. Pack at leat one of two complete changes. Include extra pairs of knit socks, a knit hat ( help conserve body warmth even while sleeping) and handkerchiefs.
7. Stove and Lantern fuel. Without fuel, these items are useless. Check that spare fuel containers are full before you leave civilization behind,
8. Emergency Food. Take easily showtable items that may come in handy- bouillon cubes, high energy survival snack bars etc.
9. Plastic Trash Bags. They carry out what you carried in and are also handy for use as ponchos, sleeping bag covers, temporary waterproofing for boots and bags and legs etc.
10. Whistle,. An essential safety item for all the campers and hikers especially children. It can be sounded effortlessly for hours and heard over great distances.

There you have it. I guess Milzon and I are well prepared for our upcoming Camping trip! See yah!

This year’s Halloween is really something special because it is the first time that the president of our home owners association held and organized a Halloween Costume party for kids and adults. The event was separated into two events. the first one was for kids and held early in the afternoon while the other one is for adults (18 and above) and held late in the evening. The event was open for all the residents of the Marty Homes Subdivision and was also open for outsiders. You can attend the event as long as you have the invitation. One of the event’s requirements is to wear halloween costumes. They even held a contest for it. The one who’s wearing the best Halloween costume of that night won a cash prize and some giveaways. Unfortunately, Milzon and I failed to win the game but we really had so much fun. Hopefully, we will have a ore exciting Halloween Party next year!

September 24 is like a dream come true to a U2 fan like me. They had their fabulous concert here last September at the SM Mall of Asia Concert grounds. as a part of their U2 360 tour. That was the first time that this award winning group visited our country that’s why i grabbed that opportunity to witness this spectacular event ever in the Philippines concert history. If you are following me on my social networking accounts, you must be aware how big fan i am of U2. I was amazed with Bono, the band’s main vocalist, not just of his extreme talent but also for being a philanthropist. I used to collect their CDs and keep my self updated with their latest gigs. In fact, i just went to their official site to see what’s new and i have found out that they are currently having their big night at Mexico City! They will be heading to Auckland, New Zealand this coming November. So if you are a big fan of this group, you better buy your U2 tickets as early as possible before they were all sold out. There are tickets purchasable online so you don’t have to rush your self and buy on the nearest ticket stores.

Promenade or prom in short, is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is typically held near the end of your junior or senior year. It is a gathering where in, you will have to look for someone who could be you prom date. I remember when i was in high school, my feet are shaking while inviting one of my crushes to come with me at the prom night. It considered it as one of the most memorable days of my high school life. Time is running so fast and i just can’t imagine that my younger sister is now on her Junior year and she will be having her first ever prom date. I heard her and her friends  yesterday talking about their prom dresses and their escorts. It really reminds me of my high school day. I wonder who will be my sister’s prom date.

The PNP started to sent out and distribute all their Female Traffic enforcers on EDSA. According to them, irate motorists will somehow change their mood upon seeing ladies in uniform. It is a common scenario that a motorists who committed road violations to act ridiculously as if he is innocent and he has no mistakes at all. In fact, most of them are acting more superior than the traffic enforcers who gave them violation tickets. I guess this is a great move for PNP to lessen such scenario and i guess women are less corrupt than male officials right? So i believed they will not be easily attracted to bribes from other motorists. Cheers to all Lady Traffic Enforcers!!

The Barangay Election and Sk Election officially started yesterday so expect to hear a lot of noises outside, not to mention the candidates who will knock on your door to encourage you to vote foe them. It is quite normal that every election, no matter if it is a simple barangay election or a national election, that all candidates will give their promises that they will do that, they will do this, they will fix that and this and blah blah blah. I guess the best thing that we can do here is to vote wisely. Vote for an official who do you think will perform his/her job well. Vote for a responsible official and most especially, an official who is not corrupt. Do not be deceived by their promises, observe and be wise. Have a peaceful Barangay Election to everyone.
