My Auntie gave birth to her lovely daughter last week and now they are planning she’s inviting us to the upcoming baby shower party that will be held in her house. I am so happy and so excited about this because this she is my first ever niece and it is also my first time to attend a baby shower party. Actually , i still don’t know what to give for my lovely niece.

I guess it is quite inappropriate for her to invite me because traditionally this kind of party is intended only for women especially mothers to share wisdom and lessons on the art of becoming a mother.

Actually, i am wondering why my Auntie keep on asking my mom about decoration. I thought they will be organizing a birthday party until i got an invitation yesterday stating about this upcoming baby shower party.

So the decoration that she’s talking about over the phone with my mom are the baby shower decorations that she will be using in her daughter’s party.

I wish all the best for her and her new daughter!

The Use of Steroids

Have you watched the “Shane Mosley vs Floyd Mayweather Jr fight” yesterday? For those who failed to watch it, Floyd Mayweather won over Shane Mosley. Mayweather won by unanimous decision. Actually, I am already expecting him to win this fight. Did you know that this fight is the first ever fight in US where both fighters agreed to undergo drug testing? This kind of procedure is the same with Olympic Games and is now promoted by Mayweather to his concern of the health of many fighters who face medical problems later in life due to drug use, as well as a way to make clear no cheating is taking place. This issue started after Manny Pacqiuao refused to undergo such procedure. Well, we’re looking forward to the upcoming “Pacquiao vs Mayweather” fight. Anyway, what’s with these performance-enhancing drugs? Are they illegal?
The use of Steroids or performance enhancing drugs is illegal if you are an athlete who is about to fight or about to compete. The use of performance enhancing drugs is mostly done to improve athletic performance. This is why many sports ban the use of performance enhancing drugs. On the better side, these steroids or what so called testosterone boosters are primarily used for the treatment of males who have problems with their testosterone production. These testosterone boosters can prevent or reduce the risks of osteoporosis, diabetes,heart diseases ,obesity and depression. However, before buying any kind of steroids, make sure that you are dealing with a trusted and medically approved brand.

We are very excited to see my cousin to walk up the stage wearing his black toga. What I am referring here is my cousin’s upcoming graduation day. Graduation day is probably one of the most remarkable days in our life, knowing that after the long road of studying you’ve finally reached the end point. Graduation day is the day when you say goodbye to all those research papers and thesis; no more home works to be done; no more quiz to be taken and no more terror teachers to scold you in every mistakes you did. Because this time, you are going to apply everything that you have learned in the actual life ~ the reality. That is why we are very proud to our cousin to have reached this point. His mom is very supportive. She organizes everything for the upcoming graduation party of his son. We are very lucky enough to received one of graduation invitations that she have distributed. It’s fun because I see my mother to her 3 years ago who’s also very excited in my graduation. Well, we can’t blame our parent to become very proud because they are the one who offered their hard work to raise you well and the one who provide us with proper education. Graduation day is not actually the end point of everything. This is just the start of the new life. We all must ecpect that there’ll be a lot of challenges along his way but just like what they said, “In every challenge we learned and in every failure, we succeed”. Have It Done On Time!

It’s our summer vacation already. Most of my classmates are now planning to spend their vacation in their provinces while some have plans to go to some beach resorts. Even though we can do anything we want this vacation, we still have some school-related works to do. Our teachers gave us some assignments that should be done during our summer vacation and has to be submitted once our classes started. They left us with some heavy paper works including thesis or dissertation and some book reports. This is going to be a busy summer for us.

Anyway, since I cannot do anything about it, I set a schedule for all these activities. Time management is really important so that I can finish all my assignments in time and enjoy my summer vacation at the same time. For my thesis, I should go and get some examples of dissertations online so that it would be easy for me to start my research. I think it would be better to choose a topic which is current yet interesting and informative. I can go and search some thesis format online in order to produce a very satisfying and effective dissertation. For my book report, I chose William Shakespeare’s “The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark” or simply “Hamlet” as my subject. We did some role plays before and I once portrayed Hamlet’s character so it would be easy for me to do a Hamlet Essay. However, I should also search some guides online to avoid misinformation. And Of course, even though I know the story of Prince Hamlet, I should read the actual book still and I should start reading it already.

Last year, our school actively participated in Earth Hour 2008. Now, i am inviting everyone to join the upcoming Earth Hour 2010 this coming March 27. The main objective of this once in a life time event is to remind everyone of us how the Global warming badly affected our planet and by conversion of energy, for even just an hour, it is really a big help! Just switch off your lights for just one hour from 8:30 – 9:30. One hour isn’t going to solve the climate problem and some would argue that it’s nothing more than a gimmick, but it will, somehow, raise awareness and will perhaps encourage us to have more lights out hours.

Will There Be a “Pacquiao vs Mayweather Fight?”

After his victory over Joshua Clottey, there is now an ongoing debate asking “will there be a Pacquiao vs MayWeather fight?” Pacquiao is the first boxer in history to win seven world titles in seven different weight divisions. Manny is now really a world boxing superstar. No wonder why he has ranked by Forbes Magazine as the sixth Highest paid athlete in the world and was listed in Celebrity 100 of the same magazine.

Mayweather is about to fight Shane Mosley this coming May 1. Reportedly, who ever win over the two boxer will be the next Manny Pacquiao’s opponent. However, there are also some issues stating that Manny Pacquiao will be retiring. Well, we can never tell what will happen next. Let’s just hope and pray for Manny’s next victory!

And in times of trouble, you’re always there to give your advice. I’m sorry if i disobey you sometimes. I love you mom and you’re the best mom in the world!

I baked this cake for my mom with the help of my cousin Jenny. Sorry for the blur photos guys. My camera is not cooperating to me. I think i have to take it and have the technician check it.

By the way guys, i prepared series of entries which i will be posting very soon on this blog. Those post will tackle everything about your child and how to motivate them in their studies. The Beauty pageant was once again filled with some controversies. Many people are not in favor with Czarina Catherine Gatbonton to be crowned as Binibining Pilipinas- World because of her unsatisfying answer during the event’s question and answer portion. Just think of Janina San Miguel of the Binibining Pilipinas 2008. Anyways, despite of those controversies and issues, let’s just pray for they victory once they compete internationally in their respective fields.

Wedding Favors

I was rearranging my display cabinet yesterday and I found this cute little thing hiding on the corner of my figurines.

I got this as a small gift from my friend Dezzie’s wedding celebration. They were given to all their guests as a gesture of appreciation. This is memorable to me because I help my friend to decide what wedding favor they should be giving away. These are hand made products made by us. We bought all the necessary materials to be used in this wedding item. Distributing wedding favors has been a tradition to any wedding. These wedding favors are given during or after the wedding’s reception. Usually, it complements the theme of the wedding. It can be in any form of gift it which is either edible or not.

Just like this one. This soft and scented candle that I found on a website is perfect for a beach wedding. The shells inside this molded candle make it more appropriate in such summer or beach event.

I wonder what will be my wedding theme is?
