The 2010 Binibining Pilipinas, an official Miss Philippines Beauty pageant held in Araneta Colliseum crowning three beautiful ladies for three major titles.

Binibining Pilipinas-Universe is Maria Venus Raj

Binibining Pilipinas-World is Czarina Catherine Gatbonton

and Binibining Pilipinas-International is Krista Arrieta Kleiner

The Beauty pageant was once again filled with some controversies. Many people are not in favor with Czarina Catherine Gatbonton to be crowned as Binibining Pilipinas- World because of her unsatisfying answer during the event’s question and answer portion. Just think of Janina San Miguel of the Binibining Pilipinas 2008. Anyways, despite of those controversies and issues, let’s just pray for they victory once they compete internationally in their respective fields.

Have you watched ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother Double Up finale last night? As what I am expecting, Melissa “Melai” Cantiveros won the title and dubbed as PBB Double Up Big Winner. Melissa or “Isay” is a 21-year-old student, part-time instructor, and funny lady from General Santos City. Nicknamed Inday Kengkay, Melisa looks at the positive side of things despite people teasing her about her looks. The aspiring English practice teacher hopes she can impart happiness to other people wherever she goes.

Garnering a total 32.08% of people’s vote Melai won over Paul Jake (2nd Big Placer) who got a 24.97% of votes. Next to PJ was Jason followed by Johan and Tibo. Melisa was the first female winner of the franchise since Beatriz Saw back in the second regular season.

Have you seen Yahoo headline today? Our all time favorite board game, Monopoly got its extreme make over. Instead of the dull square-shaped board game, “Monopoly: Revolution Edition”  is round. Instead of using paper money and plastic tokens, the players will be using debit cars and ATM. In addition to that, there will be a background music in each every action you made. Players can collect $2 million dollars for passing “Go” instead of a mere $200 — practically what the average kid gets for losing a tooth these days. But it’s bound to annoy die-hard fans of the comforting classic version, who might send it directly to jail come next fall.

Game Cheaters will have no place for this Monopoly’s newest version knowing that when it comes to Monopoly, half the fun comes from cheating by stealing from the till when nobody’s lookin. For sure techie younsters will gonna love this new version of Monopoly. I wonder if  “Snakes and Ladders” will have its modern reboot too!

If you still need more reasons to get all jazzed for the future, then grid your loins for “Thor.” A film based on the classic Marvel Comics supehero, which in tun was inspired by the Norse God of Thunder, the film will star Ausie actor Chris Hemsworth with Kenneth Branagh as director.

Chuck’s Zaxhary Levi was supposed to be a part of the film, tellin Zap2It he had been offered a role. According to him working with Kenneth Branagh would have been unbelievable. In addition  to that he also said that he is a man of Faith believing God will put you where he wants you and where you’re supposed to be. Since the movie is due for May 2011 release date, information on Marvel.com remains scant. Thor is a cast down to Earth and forced to live along humans as punishment. Once here, he learns what it takes to be a true hero when most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade it. Amazing! I can’t wait to watch this film.

I am getting so excited to watch the upcoming “We Are The World Remake” and i am so excited to know who are the artists that will be participating for this classic 80’s song. Other members would be Pink, Lil Wayne, Nick Jonas, Robin Thicke, Celine Dion, Akon, Rob Thomas, Wyclef, Jeff Bridges, Vince Vaughn, Barbra Streisand, Jordin Sparks, Good Charlotte’s Madden brothers, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Keri Hilson, Jamie Foxx, Tyrese, Katharine McPhee, Sean Garrett, Will.I.Am, Carlos Santana, Melanie Fiona, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton, Jason Mraz, Miley Cyrus,  Nicole Scherzinger, Nicole Richie, Usher, Julianne Hough, Raphael Saadiq, Zac Brown, India.Arie, “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson, Musiq Soulchild, Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson, Fonzworth Bentley, Iyaz, the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson and Al Jardine, Trey Songz, Faith Evans, Mya and Gladys Knight and a whole lot more! I wonder who will be singing the song bridge which is originally performed by Kim Carnes, Cindy Lauper, and MJ. The remake might be too different from the original, it might features different new artists, the song might have its new rendition but one thing for sure, both the 1980’s version and the 2010 version are aiming for one cause. The 1980’s version was sang for Africans who at that time experiencing famine while the 2010’s version  is doing it for the earthquake victims of Haiti.

American Idol Season 8 winner, Kris Allen is set to hit the Philippines’ stage this coming February 5. This event was brought to us by Fearless productions (which is the same production company that brought David Cook and David Archuleta last year). Together with Kris Allen is the champion of Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew Jabbawockeez and the Youtube acoustic sensantion and my all time favorite band “Boyce Avenue” will be joining the crew too! Kris Allen will be in Cebu in February 5 and will hit Manila in February 6 at McKinley Hills Concert Grounds, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.

There are Tweeter rumors that American Idol Season 8 runner up, Adam Lambert will also be a part of this concert. Hope this is true. But anyways, i guess i will fail to watch them live. First, i don’t know where the hell Mckinley Concert ground is (hehe) and the second, my budget is not that fit to buy the ticket. The VIP ticket is worth more or less 10,000 while general admission is P600 or something. Haha i hope Kris Allen will have some tv guesting just like what happen to the two Davids last year. So if there’s anyone who care to treat me and willing to pay 10,000 for the ticket, that would be great haha!

I am planning to buy a brand new Television set for my bed room. My previous one is not working properly anymore so I need a replacement for it. However, I don’t know where to buy it or what model should I pick. I love watching Tv and I am an avid follower of some tv programs. I believed that watching tv helps you in relieving all the stress that you got from your work. A friend told me that if I want a real tv experience then it would be great for me to try flat screen tv. Having a flat LCD HDTV would be very appropriate for my bed room knowing that it will not occupy a lot of space in it. LCD HDTV will give you a real and exciting tv experience as it offers 1000 plus resolution that brings out high definition details in everything you see. As of the moment, I will try to convince my mom to buy me a new flat screen for my room and I’m getting very excited about it!
