Web Mail Vs Email Client : Which Do You Prefer?

PhotobucketWhich do you prefer? Web Mail or Email Client? These are the two common ways on how we access our emails. Personally, i do prefer the web mail because i can access it anytime. Even though both of the applications used Internet, there’s still a huge difference between the two. Web Mail is accessible through your browsers which usually comes up for free. The most common web mails include Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, or even those Web Mail provided by your web hosting provider or ISP. There’s a designated Web address where you can access the mail. You just have to login and presto! You can now access your mail.  If you’re newbie, then you have to sign up an account first and establish your own username(email address) and password. You can now access your mail, send and receive emails from friends. The advantage of Web mail is the fact that you can access it anywhere at any computers as long as there’s an Internet source. But then it may require you to sign in every time you want to access it and you have to open it in order to view the new mails unlike the Email Clients.

Email Clients on the other hand is more advantageous when it comes to being so convenient because it will automatically updates you if a new mail arrived. Email Clients are the software applications usually comes up with your Operating System. Common Email Clients include Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Mac Mail, Windows Mail, and more. After configuring the Email client in which you are required to input the correct “incoming and outgoing” mail servers, you are now ready to use the Email client and access your email. However, they said that Email client is quite prone to hacking and virus though this is widely use especially for business or company operations.

I have both of them but i still prefer the Web Mail. How about you? Which do you prefer?
